Office Recognitions
- Rakesh Mohan was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the American Evaluation Association
(AEA). His 3-year term starts in January 2008. AEA is an international program evaluation association of more than 5,000 members.
In the past, Rakesh served as chair of AEA's Publications Committee and the topical interest group on State
and Local Government Evaluation.
- 2007 Notable Documents Award, National Conference of State Legislatures, Legislative
Research Librarians, in recognition of excellence for the report
Use of Average Daily Attendance in Public
Education Funding that explores "topics of contemporary interest to
legislators and staff by presenting substantive material in an outstanding format."
- Rakesh Mohan was reappointed by the US Comptroller General to the Advisory Council on Government
Auditing Standards for a four-year term (2007-10). Government auditing standards provide the
framework for helping to ensure that auditors conduct their work with competency, integrity,
objectivity, and independence.
- 2006 Excellence in Evaluation Award, National Conference of State Legislatures,
National Legislative Program Evaluation Society, in recognition of "best
advancing the field of legislative program evaluation” from 2002 through
2005.
